Smart Tuition is coming! We are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with Smart Tuition for the processing and collection of tuition and fees for the 2016-17 school year. Some of our parents might already be aware of Smart Tuition as they currently provide services for over 20,000 schools across the United States. An e-mail has recently been sent asking current parents to confirm account enrollment information in Smart Tuition.
More tuition tools for parents
The reason for our change to Smart Tuition is to provide SMA parents more tools to view the tuition and fees charged to their students’ accounts. The Smart Tuition website allows parents to pick their payment due date, set up tuition payments, review account history, see charge details as they occur during the month and print monthly invoices if needed. With the Shopping Cart feature, parents can pre-purchase school supplies, T-shirts, club fees and pay for school activities such as field trips prior to the event.
In addition to the main website, Smart Tuition offers a mobile app for Apple and Android devices, and a call center with Customer Service Representatives who can answer questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
More tuition payment options
There are also more ways to make a payment to SMA using Smart Tuition. Payments can be made via ACH, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, check, on the phone or cash payments at participating 7-Eleven, Family Dollar or Ace Cash Express locations. Please note that a 2.65% convenience fee will apply for all credit and debit card payments and a $4.99 processing fee applied at 7-Eleven, Family Dollar or Ace Cash Express.
For all recurring payments, a reminder is emailed 7-10 days before the due date. For missed payments and outstanding balances, Smart Tuition will send out an email and follow up with a phone call. All late payments will incur a $50.00 Late Fee.
